Hi, I’m Emma – Founder of Just Juno Weddings

Emma Founder of Just Juno Weddings in Italy

British wedding planner living in Italy, Aperol Spritz enthusiast, dog mum, and lover of throwing a great party with meaning.

I started Just Juno Weddings because I was overwhelmed by how cookie-cutter the wedding industry had become. So many packages. So many checklists. And so little space for real creativity. I wanted to bring personality and joy back into the process—to remind couples that their wedding doesn’t have to follow tradition unless they want it to.

“I’ve never been one to conform to the status quo. Your wedding should be a celebration of who you are—not what society says it should be.”

My love for weddings started young—at 14, I worked with a catering company in the Cotswolds and helped serve my very first wedding (which just happened to be full of minor celebrities). The buzz, the joy, the food—it was everything. Even then, I knew I wanted to work in events.

After finishing school, I moved abroad at 20 to work as a holiday rep in Gran Canaria and eventually made my way to Italy with TUI. I fell head over heels for the country and, aside from stints in London, Austria, and South America, I’ve always found my way back here. Italy became my permanent home in 2018.

I spent the better part of a decade in the travel industry, working my way up to become an Operations Manager for a British tour operator, leading a team of over 250 staff across Italy—from reps to hotel teams to childcare professionals. It was fun, fast-paced, and formative (though I’m pretty sure I didn’t sleep for two years straight!). Later, I moved into freelance event management in London, and after a 5-month soul-refreshing trip through South America, I returned to Italy and took on global brand events. I’ve had the pleasure of producing events for BMW, Google, Meta, TikTok, and Bulgari across Europe and beyond.

But despite all that, my heart kept pulling me back to weddings.

In 2021, a vineyard owner in northern Italy approached me to help with their wedding offering. I jumped at the chance. One vineyard turned into another, and Just Juno was born. Since then, I’ve poured my heart and soul into helping couples from around the world bring their Italian wedding dreams to life—with a big side of fun, creativity, and zero stress.

My favourite part of the job?

The creative freedom and personal moments. Every wedding is completely bespoke—no two are ever the same. Whether I’m helping a couple plan a lakeside ceremony in the Italian Alps or coordinating a surprise performance (like the time a groom played La Vie En Rose to his new bride, and there wasn’t a dry eye on the island), I live for the details that make the day truly theirs.

Where the Just Juno name came from?

Officially, it's inspired by Juno, the Roman goddess of marriage. Unofficially—and far more importantly—it’s named after our cat, Juno. I didn’t want anything too cheesy or romantic. I wanted something that felt like us—playful, bold, and a little bit different.

What makes Just Juno Weddings different?

We’re British wedding planners who live full-time in Italy, which means we have a deep understanding of the local culture and logistics, but also a fresh perspective that aligns with our couples. We speak the language, have built a solid network of suppliers, and are constantly discovering hidden gems that most tourists never see. We act as the bridge between cultures—making the planning feel smooth, personal, and joyful.

We also don’t do commissions or markups. What you see is what you get. We believe in honest, transparent planning and only take on a limited number of weddings per year so we can give every couple our full energy.

When I’m not in full wedding mode, I’m either skiing, baking, walking our vizsla Bia, dreaming up wild ideas that Jam has to figure out how to execute, or sipping an Aperol Spritz in the sunshine (with a green olive in it—if you know, you know).

If you’re dreaming of a wedding that breaks the mould, celebrates your love your way, and is packed with personality—I’d love to chat.
